So any recipes will work, and I guess mostly fish as it's a happy medium.

Fish is a good common ground. It is a dish my people eat the most. I suggest salted salmon with lightly fried tofu on the side and rice. It is simple, but can be eaten in great quantity.

--! O-oh, yes, ah...well, I enjoy the traditional foods from my home country. They are comforting, I suppose. Salted salmon, rice, tea, ochazuke...miso soup.
